I recently watched the 20/20 episode
about debt and debt collection,
and I was shocked.
Especially the part of where some debt collectors
were really very nasty, openly breaking the
Fair Debt Collection Act.
They were breaking FEDERAL LAWS!
It is sickening. Luckily, we haven't had
anything threatening or anyone cussing at as,
but we have had persistant calls before.
Sometimes for awhile it may be everyday
and even sometimes a day.
Well, I want people to be informed of the right
of how they are supposed to be treated
when a debt collector calls you.
If someone ever is harrased you have
the right to sue for that abysmal treatment.
Especially if someone tells you you will go to jail,
that is ILLEGAL! DO NOT BE A VICTIM!

some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help
themselves to the coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand,
he said : "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups
were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.
While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves,
that can be the source of your problems and stress.
Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee.
In most cases it is just more expensive

Common Diet Myths BUSTED!

You think you have heard it all right? WRONG.
Here are some common Diet myths.. BUSTED.

I just wanted to share that recently
I have looked on the labels
of things I shopped for that if it had -
High Fructose Corn Syrup in it
I DID NOT BUY IT ,
also the item had to have less than 4 grams of
sugar and less than 4 grams of saturated fat,
zero trans fat is a plus too as
well as anything with omega-3,
as well as no enriched white flour
in the items, and buying whole wheat pasta for
spaghetti has helped and there is no difference in taste!
This has helped me shed quite a few pounds ,
as this is eating much much healthier.
I highly reccomend this!

1 -If you eat late at night, the food turns straight into fat. - WRONG

Not true. Research has confirmed that if your collective calories —
calories eaten throughout the entire day —
are appropriate for personal weight maintenance,
you won’t gain weight from late night dinners and/or snacks.
Your best bet: Spread food intake out over the course of the day —
eating every four to five hours to fuel your body,
brain and regulate appetite.
For late night dinners, watch portions and be sure to adjust

And for late night munchies, stick with portion-controlled snacks
that are 250 calories or less (for example, some light popcorn,
a handful of almonds, a frozen banana or a low-fat ice cream pop).

2- Fresh fruits and vegetables are more nutritious than frozen.

Not necessarily.
You may actually get more nutrients
from frozen fruits and vegetables.
One reason for this it that the “fresh” produce
you just bought at your corner grocer
may be a lot older than you think.
Unless you live on a farm or shop at a greenmarket,
these items generally spend days being sorted,
packaged and then shipped (often cross country)
after being harvested. During that long process,
fluctuations in light and temperature rob fruits and vegetables
of important nutrients such as vitamin C and folate.
Also consider how long they sit in your fridge!
Canned and frozen produce sometimes retain more nutrients
because it’s been whisked off the fields to a processing plant
in a fraction of the time it takes for the fresh stuff
to make it to your dinner table.
Furthermore, the nutritional value of some produce
is actually enhanced by processing.
Take tomatoes; canned ones are cooked first,
which helps release lycopene, an antioxidant that has been
shown to help prevent many types of cancer.
Of course, the negative side of processing primarily
comes down to three things: taste, texture and additives.
Frozen and canned foods rarely taste as good as fresh,
and food manufacturers often have a nasty habit of
with Mother Nature by adding salt, sugar and fat to their products.
Canned vegetables are notoriously salty,
and frozen fruits and vegetables often contain added sugar or fat.
You can get around this by looking for
"low sodium” or “no salt added” canned items,
and bypassing frozen foods that contain added sugar, salt and fat.

Bottom line: Buy both, a variety of fresh and frozen.

3- Cravings are your body's way of telling you
it needs something. - NOT.

Probably not.
To date, scientists have not been able to link cravings in humans
to specific micronutrient deficiencies.
In fact, an experimental psychologist conducted a study
on people with constant chocolate cravings.
In this experiment, one group was given a cocktail that
mimicked the chemicals found in chocolate,
and another group was given a fake chocolate bar which
looked, smelled, and tasted like chocolate but contained
no authentic chocolate-like compounds.
Guess which bar satisfied the participants most? The fake chocolate!
Even though it didn't chemically resemble chocolate,
the look, smell and taste hit the spot and satisfied cravings.

That said, cravings are believed to be
emotionally or psychologically driven.
People also tend to crave foods they enjoy
and associate with pleasurable times and places.

For example, you may crave hamburgers
because you downright love the taste and
typically eat them in cozy pubs and at family barbecues —
not because you’re deficient in the mineral iron.
Hormonal changes can also be responsible for cravings.
Ice cream and pickles anyone?

4- A juice fast is a great way to slim down quickly
and clean out your body.

No! For one thing, your body doesn’t need help cleaning itself —
the kidneys, liver and bladder do the job nicely.
And rather than trim you down quickly, j
juice fasts may actually cause you to overeat.
The beverages are high in refined sugar,
which starts the digestive process and can create
peaks and valleys in your blood sugar levels, leaving you hungry.
Juice is also void of protein, a macronutrient that’s
critical during weight loss (protein helps maintain lean muscle mass,
revs your metabolism and stabilizes your blood sugar levels).

To slim down quickly, you’re much better off
focusing meals on lean protein, such as
chicken, fish or tofu, loads of vegetables and
moderate amounts of fresh fruit and whole grains.
And be sure to drink loads of water!

5 - Certain foods, like grapefruit, celery or cabbage soup
can burn fat and make you lose weight.

These are anecdotal stories that have no scientific back-up.
It’s true these foods are low in calories (and loaded with nutrients),
but they do not actually burn fat.
If you lose weight when you add grapefruit
or celery to your eating plan, it’s probably because
you’re substituting it for another food that has more calories.

6 - You should only weight yourself one time each week.
Not true.

Checking your weight loss progress on a scale
can be quite encouraging, and two new studies —
one published last year in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine
and another published this past July in the
International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity —
found that people who were trying to lose weight
or avoid gaining weight were more successful if they weighed themselves daily.

One caveat: If you have an obsessive personality
and could potentially become too preoccupied with the scale,
this is not for you.
Use other effective ways to track your progress:
take body measurements, test body fat, compare personal photos
and access the fit of your clothing.

I recently wathced a movie called, The Hamburg Cell.
It is about a young lebanese student who falls in with
muslim extremists who eventually carry out
the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
I respected this film in some ways and others, I did not.
It also saddened me and frightened me.

I respect the aspect of the muslim culture of putting
God at the center of your universe. I like that idea.
The muslims in the movie, and yes this is just a movie,
even though it is based on actual events,
talked about a muslim holocaust,
yet put down the trials that jews went through
they put down the jewish holocaust,
stating that jews got rich off world war two.
Remember this is just a movie.

I want muslims to live in peace, yet the radicals want to kill me
just because of what land on earth I happened to be born.
I want to raise my son to be
tolerant of all races and religions like I am.
Yet, if Osama and his men had their way,
my son, my little 6 year old child,
would be shot dead just for being born,
just for being born white,
just for being born american, just because.
I am trying to teach my son to value all life,
to be a good , kind, and just man,
to teach him to respect his fellow man and woman.

Yet, because I am a single mother, because of my circumstances,
I am an infidel, and should be killed.
According to Osama and those like him,
I don't deserve happiness, or paradise
or everlasting peace when I die,
because I am a woman, I am american.
They want to destroy me, my mother, my grandmother, my child,
my life, as sucky as it is, it belongs to no one but me, it is MY life.
The muslims speak in the movie, of god and forgiveness,
one even says when he dies,
some of his value should go to the poor and needy.
I cannot understand how they can hate so blindly,
but try to look compassionate on the other end.

They hate us so much , they will die to kill us.
They are unrelenting in this movie, and it is sad,
and it infuriates me, and yet I pity them.
I pray for all muslims. Everyone has a right to exist. EVERYONE.
Well, yet again there, that too is debatable,

I should say everyone who never wants to harm anyone
has a right to exist. Murderers should not exist.
I am a woman, I was born in America, so you want to kill me.
I respect your religion, yet you want to kill me
and deny my choice of religion or how I wish to worship God.

You want to destroy me and my life,
even though I have a good relationship
just God and myself and noone else.
With God, that is all you need, you and him.

want to destroy me because I want to teach my son tolerance,
and to respect a woman. When the extremists attacked on 9/11,
the did not destroy faith, they did not destroy america,
they did not destroy hope, they did not bring us to our knees.
Many people from all walks of life died that day.
We need to be reminded of that,
we do lose sight sometimes in this country.

We are not perfect. No man or GOD is perfect.
GOD created us in his image, we are not perfect.
I pray for peace, yet I know I know I will never see it in my lifetime,
know my son will not see it, I even know
my grandchildren will not see peace.
The muslims in this movie claim America humilates them,
I was sorry and sad they felt that way.

Those who are intolerant, will not have peace.

I respect muslims and their religion, I respect everyone.
And again I am being very general and I am mostly
talking about the DECENT HUMANS on this planet.
However, I do not, I cannot, will NOT respect
ANYONE that wishes malicious, purposeful , vindictive,
harm to any other human on this planet.
Killing is wrong. again I am being general.

Sadly in this world, it happens when good people
are backed into corners by predators, and maliciousness.
You kill someone who was trying to kill you or your family.
If they would've left you the heck alone in the first place,
the good human would never have to be in that situation.

If some crazed person were trying to hurt my child,
I would like to believe I would kill anyone to save my son.
Even though, it goes against every fiber of my being and my nature.
Basically leave me and mine alone.
I won't bother you and you don't bother me.

I am trying to live my life as safely as I can, and good as I can,
as respectful as I can, I stick to myself and I don't bother anyone,
and I am trying to teach my son to
respect other's lives the same way.

Yet, Osama and his like, wish to destroy me,
my values, even now I pray for them all.

Praise GOD, Praise Allah. Praise Buddah. Praise to all.

The men who wish to destroy will pay with their souls, they who follow Osama, will not reach enlightenment,
will not reach paradise, they will never be at peace. They will be doomed to be tormented for eternity.
That is some small consolement. For their roles in the 9/11 attacks, those men will never have paradise and will be eternally on fire, and to me it is comforting to know my families souls
will be at peace away from their poisoned spirits.

To myspace or not?

Eh.. I am a lemming :P
I have finally given in and got my own myspace page.
It's really great too, I am reconnecting with some old friends,
and some new ones from my guild in World of Warcraft.
What can I say? I am a lemming :P
Myspace when used in its proper context is a great tool
for keeping in touch with long lost friends, making new ones,
and just all around innocent fun. However, nothing on the net is
without its DARKSIDE. There are things you have to be wary of on myspace, false profiles, people trying to spam you, steal your account information , and just other unscrupulous dick types who have
no life of their own other than to fuck with yours.
These people are sad.. and they just ruin something others try to enjoy.
They will always be out there, people who want to ruin a good time,
or a good thing. But with the majority of people saying we won't tolerate it, hopefully the dicks will piss off.
Eh.. One can only dream

Still Falling for Internet Scams?....

With the recent airing of Dr. Phil's scam show, and
tonight's (11/10) Episode of Close to Home,
I decided to do a post about how to recognize a scam, and how to help
yourself over the internet. I keep telling myself, when I hear about people falling for scams again, gosh I wish people had my knack for spotting liars and scams,
and had my knack for knowing how to protect themselves.
Tonight's episode of 'Close to Home' was very loosely based
on a case in Nashville, TN , on which a Minister's Wife killed her husband
because she did not want him to know that she had lost money
from a very common internet scam....THE NIGERIAN or THE AFRICAN SCAM

IF ANYONE FROM AFRICA IS STATING THEY WANT TO SHARE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WITH YOU IT'S A ..(say it with me).. SCAM!!
NEVER GIVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION TO ANYONE.
NEVER SHARE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION,
Unless you know you are dealing with reputubale merchandisers,
such as ordering from a sears catalog for example.

NEVER BELEIVE EMAILS THAT WANT YOUR PERSONAL
PASSWORD INFORMATION TO ANYTHING OR WANT YOUR
BANK INFORMATION.

If you question it, that is your instinct telling you to staw away.
DELETE the email.
Also there is a step to make sure you are dealing with legitimate secure sites
on the web instead of ending up at a phishing one designed to steal
your information. anytime you type a page that requests your account
name and password for anything, look at the site and see if it only has http
on it, , slip in an s after the HTTP to change it to HTTPS ,
sites that you have to sign into like paypal, ebay, and yahoo,
automatically have the https beginning when signing in, this lets you know
are on a secure site. If you are signing into any of these sites,
and it does not start with https on the sign-in page, you are not secure
and are most likely on a phishing site.
The https thing won't work with every site, it is mainly for any site you sign into
with your account information, it wouldnt work
on http://fileplanet.com if you tried to go to https:/fileplanet.com
it works on the address on where you sign in to sites only.

When I get email on my aol account, saying that your bank account is in jeopardy,
or your credit card from so and so bank needs updating, I can check if it is real or not,
well one, if I know i don't have an account with that bank I know it is a scam,
also in the emails there is a thing on the header of the email
that says - sent from the internet (Details) and i can click on the details link
and it usually tells me where the email was sent from, basically
I look at the return paths, and the recieved from and all that good stuff
if I see a fishy email address in there I KNOW is not associated with ebay or paypal ,
any other thing, I KNOW that the email is a scam and I alert the proper people.

SO PLEASE BE SAFE PEOPLE, before giving out your password info for any
double check the site, before giving your financial information from an EMAIL,
double check and ask the company that the mail claims to be from if the mail is legitimate,
they usually have an address where you can forward the mail to,
to let you know if it came from them or not.

ALSO, DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM AUCTION SITES, BUY THEM DIRECTLY
FROM THE COMPANY YOU WANT THE GIFT CARD FOR.

GET EDUCATED!
AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, LET ME KNOW.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

I just thought I would do some fun lessons
to survive this halloween...(as if you were in your own horror flick)

1. When it appears that you have killed the monster,
*never* check to see if it's really dead.

2. If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit
uncharacteristic behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood,
glowing eyes, increasing hairiness, and so on,
get away from them as fast as possible.

3. Do not search the basement, especially if
the power has just gone out.

4. Beware of strangers bearing tools such as chainsaws,
staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines,
lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws,
or any device made from deceased companions.

5. If appliances start operating by themselves, move out.

6. Stay away from certain geographical areas, some of which are listed here:
Amityville, Elm Street, Transylvania, the Bermuda Triangle,
Nilbog (you're in trouble if you recognize this one),
or any small town in Maine.

7. If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language
which they should not know or if they speak to you using a voice
which is other than their own, shoot them immediately.
It will save you a lot of grief in the long run.
NOTE: It will probably take several hundred rounds to kill them,
so be prepared!

8. If you're running from the monster,
expect to trip or fall at least twice,
more if you are of the female persuasion.
Also note that, despite the fact that you are running
and the monster is merely shambling along,
it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.

9. When you have the benefit of numbers,
*never* pair off and go it alone.

10. Do not take *anything* from the dead.

11. As a general rule, don't ever solve puzzles
that open portals to Hell.

12. Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology
unless you're sure you know what you are doing.

13. Never stand in, on, above, below, beside,
or anywhere near a grave, tomb, crypt, mausoleum,
or other house of the dead.

14. Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke!

15. Please don't use mystic Ouija boards on Oct. 31,
and after NEVER NEVER burn a Ouija board.

16. If your car runs out of gas at night, do not go to the nearby
deserted-looking house to phone for help.

17. If you're searching for something which caused a noise
and find out that it's just the cat,
*leave the room immediately* , if you value your life.

*and last but not least...

18. If you find a town which looks deserted, it's
probably for a reason. Take the hint and stay away!

Waiting is sometimes best...

With the price tag that is attatched to the upcoming PS3,
(it's the Blu-Ray technology that makes it so idiotically expensive)
I am not willing to let go of my PS2 just yet.
I didn't buy the PS2 when it first came out, and my reward,
was a smaller and cheaper design that included the built-in drive
I needed to play online PS2 games.
I didn't buy a PSP right away, and got spared all the hacks
and abysmal library of PSP games,
until they came out with some better ones.
Also , the PSP is now getting a retooled design.
Too soon? You let me know.

Sony is introducing an upgraded version of the PSP in Japan before
the end of March 2007. It will not be the "PSP 2",
as Sony is taking a similar page out of Apple's iPod
strategy and upgrading the current PSP's specs while keeping
the retail price the same. -
Translation - what I pay for my PSP will be better than
what you paid for yours.

Also, as Apple does with each generational ipod model,
Sony will discontinue the current model of PSP
when the new model goes on sale. Sales of the handheld
are still going strong more than a year and a half since its
release in the USA. Perhaps a combo of strong sales
and plans for an enhanced version of the system have
prevented Sony from dropping the price
of the current PSP hardware.
Instead they introduced the PSP core pack
earlier this year which offered a lower-priced alternative
at the expense of the previously bundles accessories.

Anyway, perhaps if every gamer out there
did NOT buy on launch day,
Sony and other companies would start lowering prices,
instead of raising them over and over, since it seems
there are willing people who will pay whatever prices Sony
names just to have the latest things out there.

No, when the PS3 is finally released, I think once again,
I will err on the safe side, and wait.
I may be rewarded for my patience.

Well, I am semi-back from my hiatus that I was on while preparing for back surgery and recovering from it. I had suffered a ruptured disc that either was also pinching my sciatic nerve
or something else was pinching the nerve.
Either way, I had surgery and they cut away some bone to take out the HUGE ruptured disc, and to relieve the pinched nerve.
However, there are pain signals at the top of the nerve that sends
wave of pain down my leg and into my toes, where I only feel pain
in my left leg below my knee and in my toes.
My left foot is still pretty messed up.
So I am on pain meds till that nerve heals.
I have been told that nerves take a long time to heal,
so I can't sit at my computer as much as I used to which sucks.
I just decided to write again, even though I am a faceless drone
in the ever growing popularity of the net.
I am still not sure what I want my blog to be and it confuses me.
I love poker, gaming, electronics, I am passionate about many things.
Do I want to get personal with my blog?
Do I want to get political? Ugh, not really.
I just decided this blog is really for me, for my sanity,
to get my thoughts and feelings out there , as raw as they may be.
Yea, this will be here for anyone in the entire world to read,
but I really don't care. The great thing about the internet is that
we are exposed to many, but we can still be invisible and alone.
If there is anyone who reads this, I will try to write more often.
I can't promise daily because
I am still in quite a bit of pain from my surgery, but I can try every few days.
I missed writing. I like talking to people, discussing ideas
informing you of neat things I am interested in , you know.

This month the 2006 Word Series of Poker gets underway.
Good Luck to Wil Wheaton and all the

It is my dream to either attend one of these,
or play in one someday.
But for now, I can only read about it.
I am going to try to Blog it regularly.

Well, this year I barely made it past 500th player out in
the Annual Pokerstars Blogger Championships.
But, as always, there is next year.
I have a full year to hone my onlike poker skillz
and pray I do better next time.
It is all anyone can do.
As for my back pain update,
My leg and back are getting worse,
I went to Nashville again, and the nurse there gave
me some muscle relaxers for the increasing spasms in my leg.
Boy, when you take 2 Lortabs, and one Soma.. it really
packs a wollop. I am trying not to pass out as I type this.
I have to go back to Nashville on the 18th to finally see Dr. Singer
again and hopefully to discuss surgery.
Being in pain, and not being able to walk reallly sux.
I really can't wait to get fixed and to be able to move without pain again.

Pain update.

I have been out of the hospital for awhile now.
Learning the fate of my back condition.
I had an MRI done and it showed I had a few ruptured discs in my spine
between my L1 and L5 vertebraes. My mom and I were sent to a neurosurgeon in Nashville, TN for more evaluation.
It was a very short visit like all typical doctor visits. I was hoping he would talk with me about surgery. He wants that as a last resort. Instead, he wants to try spinal steroid injections into my back before surgery, which well be the last resort. I really don't know what is happening right now.
We are waiting for their contact here in town to schedule the first series
of injections. If they do not work, the doc will do the surgery possible removing several of the ruptured discs. His main concern is the really big ruptured one at the bottom of my spine. I have been in less pain, thank god for small favors. I am still unable to walk very well without the aid of crutches or the wheelchair. So now it's wait and see.
Thanks to all my friends who have wished me luck with the procedure
and the caring support and wishing for me to get better.

PAIN SUCKS

Ok, Just an update.. PAIN SUCKS.
Yea but who doesn't know that.
I will be unable to post for awhile,
even writing this I am in pain.
I somehow injured my sciatic nerve,
giving me sciatica, which is very
excruciating pain in the back, butt, hip,
knee, and ankle. It is a very big and
very long nerve. It constantly feels
as if someone put my leg, knee, and ankle
into a vice and is twisting it and tightening
it constantly. Imagine the worst pain you ever
felt in your life and multiply that by 100.
It is very hard to walk now, I have to use crutches.
And trying to find a comfortable position to sleep
in is nearly impossible. I have to keep taking
pain pills every hour. So, just pray for me,
and hope I get better.
No one should have to go through this kind of pain ever.

XBox Murder Trial Will Begin July 5-

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --
Jury selection in the trial of three men
accused of killing six people
because of a video game system will begin
July 5 in St. Augustine, a judge announced Friday.
Circuit Judge William A. Parsons, who earlier this month
moved the trial from Volusia County to St. Johns County,
said the six-week trial could require interviewing nearly 1,000 potential jurors.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys had agreed that
intense media coverage of the case would make it difficult
to find an impartial jury in Volusia County.
Potential jurors were less likely to be tainted by
pretrial publicity because the St. Augustine region
is in a different television and newspaper market,
Parsons said.
"At the (St. Johns County) courthouse, they asked me,
'Where is Deltona?'" Parsons said.
Jerone Hunter, 19, Troy Victorino, 29,
and Michael Salas, 20, all face
six counts of first-degree murder, five counts of
mutilating a dead human body and three other felonies.
Prosecutors allege Victorino organized the baseball bat attack
in 2004 to retrieve an Xbox
video game system that he lost.
The men face the death penalty if convicted.
A fourth man, Robert Cannon, 19,
faced the same charges as the others
and he pleaded guilty in October to all of them.
He will get a life sentence instead of the death penalty in exchange for his testimony.
Erin Belanger, 22; Francisco Ayo-Roman, 30; Anthony Vega, 34;Roberto Gonzalez, 28; Michelle Nathan, 19, and Jonathan Gleason, 17, were all killed in the attacks.
The victims, some of whom were sleeping,
did not put up a fight or try to escape, investigators said.
All were stabbed, but autopsies determined they died of the beating.

What idiots these guys were to do this.. OVER AN XBOX?!!
No item is EVER EVER worth killing for,
and going to prison for.
The only consolation we have is that
these boys are behind bars
and will never hurt anyone again.

As usual when internet savvy people see a movie on its debut night.. they head over to the best site for movie info IMDB.com and critique the film they just saw.. Again.. some loved it, some hated it, and others were just plain confused buy it. You gotta love internet debates.
However I posted this response.. And You either love the movie or hate it.
Life continues on..

Basically in a nutshell.. It has a lot of beginning scenes that are in the games.. Rose adopted a little girl, who has nightmares when she sleepwalks and yells about a place called silent hill. Rose decides to take her daughter there but find her daughter is jsut a pawn in a much bigger game. Many years ago.. some nutso townspeople were fanatic in thinking they were the only ones who could cleanse their town and free it of evil. -The backstory of Silent Hill was not only the story of Alessa but a much older story about the first burning of the Arch Witch, Jennifer Carol. That burning has defined Silent Hill as the ground for the primeval battle between the 'perception of good and the perception of evil.' - So they burned anyone they thought was a witch or evil. There was a girl Alessa daughter of Dahlia ..she had no father.. and was scorned for this.. in one scene she is tormented by her classmates and runs into a bathroom and is then molested by the schools janitor this not shown but IMPLIED. They think the child is wicked so they burn her.. she lives.. but eventually grows so much hatred (the devil i suppose) visits her to give her revenge on her tormenters. Thus silent hill is split into two 'realities' and so is Alessa split, into her evil half, and her good half.. which is sent to the outside world for protection as a baby.. Who Rose adopts -- SO Rose returns to the town and gets caught in the demensions..EVENTUALLY.. Alessa the bad gets her revenge on the townspeople , rose gets her daughter back.. but the ending is in the true style of the games where everything is unsure.. More from the director...I like the fact that this is where many dimensions intersect, and where you can exist on many planes. This fracturing between realities is reflected as a fracturing within a character. Characters can become multiple, like Mary and Maria in Silent Hill 2, and Alessa in SH1. Because this is such an abstract concept, this was the most challenging aspect of trying to adapt the game. The first game tells the amazing story of an adult woman who also exists as two little girls, good and bad doubles representing who she was when she was hurt. We are forced to realize in Silent Hill that we can be our own devil, our own God. This very Asian perception is so completely different to the Anglo/Christian concept of God and the Devil as separate beings.

*ALSO.. Alot of the story was taken from the
REAL LIFE STORY..of Centralia, Pennsylvania.

And that is why the cop never aged.
Silent Hill and the surrounding town of Brahms never change.

Ok, I just got back over an hour ago.. from watching
SILENT HILL .. the movie.
O .. MY... GOD!!
As Peter from Family Guy would say..
"FRICKING SWEET!!"
Yes, peter. Fricking sweet!
The movie was everything I could have
imagined and more!!
It satisfied my desire to see scenes from the games.
It satisfied my gore/blood ratio.
Permit me to talk to you about that sometime.
It was creepy, chilling, gory, bloody.
and oh yes.. oh so fricking sweet.!
But..........
I do admit that non-fans of the games,
may not get this movie,
therefor I say .. so , so suck your toe!!!!
This movie was made for US THE FANS!!
NOT YOU PISS ANTS!!
SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT .. FUCK YOU!
Fans of the games will NOT be disappointed.
And if you are.. you suck major ****

APRIL 21st :)
Finally, The long awaited movie SILENT HILL,
comes to the theaters.
I for one am excited.
The Silent Hill series is one of the most
if not THE scariest franchises ever to come out.
Personally, I bought All four games,
and I am still working on SH 1.
(my gameshark won't work on no 2. so I am dreading playing it)
I own them , I'll take as long as I like!
But if you have ever played these games,
late at night,
ALONE, with the sound turned up,
*shivers*.... we'll you know what I mean!
Talk about a mind trip!
Finally we the fans get our movie version.
And from the previews of the movie ,
it looks to be just as stunning as the games!
Thank god Uwe Boll was no where near this!!!

April is going to be a very good month for me.
I am finally getting a DVR. Just as good as TiVo I hope.
Also, many of my favorite things are coming out all at once.
Finally the wait for the Silent Hill movie pays off.
Silent Hill the movie starring Radha Mitchell is opening this month, April 21st.
Also out finally is Kingdom Hearts 2.
That would have been the one title I would have paid 50 bucks for ,
I have to wait again, or at least till next month.
Also FINALLY coming out is Final Fantasy 7's ADVENT CHILDREN!!

I love the "distributed fundraising" part of this whole thing. Thanks to the Internets, I was able to reach more people, more easily, and more quickly than if I'd sent out a ton of paper letters, or walked through my neighborhood knocking on doors. In fact, some of you even sent donations from Great Britain, which arrived here almost instantaneously thanks to Pay Pal. Ten years ago, that wouldn't have been nearly as easy as it was this week, if it was even possible at all. You know, we can make a very positive difference in the world, simply by coming together when we have an opportunity to build something that's greater than all of us individually.

For those of you who wanted to be part of this, but couldn't, our friend Kris is back in the hospital, so Anne and I are doing the Rock and Roll Marathon again this year, and our fundraising is just about to get started. This year, we'll have a blog dedicated to training and updates, as well as some in-person fundraisers in Los Angeles and some virtual fundraisers online (poker tourneys, eBay auctions, etc.)

Insanity and A Birthday.

I know it has been awhile since my last post, but after watching the news nonstop for the last month trying to get ideas for my blog, I got too depressed to write. In one month I have seen more stupidity from the human race and to try and blog it all would have meant I wouldn't be seeing my child any time soon. I had to unplug a little you know. However, this past weekend was a great one and I wanted to write for myself before I forgot it all. Friday the 24th was my mother's 49th birthday. It turned out to be a pretty nice day. Mom went to work and since Christopher doesn't have preschool on Fridays I got to spend a few extra morning hours in bed before being woke up by him jumping on my bed demanding to play the playstation again.
I told him 'Hey, today is grandma's birthday! yay!, wanna call her?"
so we did and he wished her happy birthday and I talked with her and said yea I still wanted to go out, since we hardly do anything like that kinda making up for last year. So me and Chris sat around playing games, I cleaned the apartment, made sure almost all the dishes were done, since it was mom's birthday and just waited around till it was time for her to get off work. She calls me at 5:30 reminding me to get ready,
"yea yea mom I am already dressed". I finish getting Chris ready and we head out to meet her in the parking lot. Every so often , new restaurants spring up in Hopkinsville, and I like to try and support local businesses and eat at different places, especially ones I have never tried before. We drove around a bit, when I spotted the Main Street Grill.
"Hey, we've never eaten there, Let's give it a shot." We circle the blocks a couple times, fri nights most spots are packed for either this dive pool bar or Cafe 541. We finally find a spot in the bank lot across from the Grill.
'We'll be quick'. I said. So we head carefully across the street to the front door and I quickly realize it is a Thai and American restaurant.
Ok, I have never had Thai food before now, but heck it's a special day, might be neat to try something new. Of course as soon as we sit down, Chris is running all over the place ,
but luckily only one other table was filled with a family
and they were in a separate section of the restaurant.
Chris is now claiming he needs to go pee every 3 minutes,
the bathrooms are literally the size of a closet.
Seriously. I ask the waitress what she recommends since
have never had Thai before. She pointed me to this "chili Cashew with peppers" dish
and I said Ok I will try that. Well, It wasn't chili as I was thinking,
just a big ole plate of stir fry with peppers onions spicy chicken and cashews and rice.
OH BOY. I do not like peppers that much, but I gave it a try.
Hey! This isn't half bad!
I spoke too soon. HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!!
By now, I am guzzling my sodas down, and She can't bring the refills fast enough,
we had to order chicken fingers for Chris because right now
that is all he ever eats, and he is still running around like a chicken with his head cut off.
"Chris you either sit down now, or you are going into a high chair!"
Big grin.. "OK!" (he runs off and drags one of those wooden high chairs over' I plop him in and no sooner after a few fries have made their way past his mouth.. "Mommeeee.. I gotta PEE!!"
"No you don't!" "YES I DO!"
(groan) Pull him out of the chair walk over to the bathroom and let him pee again for the 6th time!
We sit again.. I GOTTA PEE!. I look at mom.. your turn!
While she whisks him away again.. I walk up to the counter..
3 boxes to go please.. right away.
So mom and I pack up our half eaten plates and chris's completely full plate, pay the bill, and head back to the car.
" Not for another year!" and I agree. Chris is still not trained enough
to eat with us in public. My fault probably, I say probably because
I don't wanna face how hard it is to get him to behave in public
simply because I have NO IDEA HOW.
So I am patiently waiting for him to get older
and hope the behavior goes away. Wrong I know.
Got any suggestions?
Anyway, we head over to Wal-Mart to pick up the ice cream cake mom bought for herself
and for us and I get Chris settled in the basket part of the cart
tell mom we will meat up with her later.
"Chris now you get to pick out everything for grandma for her birthday,
but I'll help ok?" 'OK MOMMY!
First we pick out the card, cute one :) From grandson to grandma.
Then we walk around looking for some little gift when we reach the toy and electronic areas. I spy an assortment of plush animals for 5 dollars and I tell Chris to pick one he goes for a gorilla then changes his mind and snags the puppy dog. By now he's hugging the thing.
'Ok that's from you , now lets find something from me. We get over near the jewelry then I see this angel on a rock thing, I love inspiration message type stuff, so I pick one with the phrase ' With God All things are Possible' .. cute right?
One final item , a bouquet of flowers for 4 bucks and we are set with our
grandma goodies. We check out our items, meet up with mom, and Chris yells 'Don't LOOK GRAMMA!' How cute is he?
We get home, and do the whole birthday bit, I let Chris hand her the presents, I light the cake carry it to her where she is sitting on the couch while we sing the happy birthday song and then we have cake. We then settle in to watch our Netflix movies and then go to bed.
All in all, a pretty sweet birthday for the lady who gave me life.
God knows she deserved it.

Ahhh.. another year, another DREAM HOME. HGTV is once again giving away a home that trumps other homes. It is flawlessly designed, gorgeously decorated, and makes us all salivate at the idea of winning. The giveaway is HGTV'S biggest prize yet and is valued at over 2 million dollars. It runs from
January 1- February 17 2006. I recently read an article in our local newspaper that makes alot of sense and is quite true for any dream home winner.

Go ahead and dream. That's what the HGTV's annual Dream Home contest is all about. Just don't get attatched to the idea that you'll ever actually live in the 2006 grand prize, a 5,700-square-foot traditional-style mountain home
perched atop a ridge in the Blue Ridge foothills near Lake Lure.
Even if you're lucky enough to have the winning entry out of the more than
40 MILLION entires that are expected to pour in between the start of the contest to the Feb. 17th deadline, actually taking up residence may very well prove quite unthinkable.
(Unless you actually already have a home worth around 2 million dollars.)
The contest's 2005 winner, Don Cruz, moved from suburban Chicago to
Tyler, Texas, to take possession of his dream home, a lakefront property
valued at $1.5 million, plus furnishings. But taxes on his winnings are expected to total more than $650,000, and local officials slammed the door on Cruz's plan to pay his bills by renting the boathouse and a master bedroom.
In a recent telephone interview, Cruz said he's still living in Tyler and has no plans to leave, even as April 15 looms.
"We plan to stay," he said. "God will provide. We'll say a prayer,
turn it over to him and he provides. It'll all work out."
The daunting fiscal math of the Dream Home - even if you survive the
initial tax crunch, there's the annual expense of local property taxes, plus maintenence and upkeep - has kept ALL but TWO of the nine winners
from EVER living in their homes.
This year the prize package includes $250,000 from Lending Tree to help the winner with the tax bill. But HGTV spokeswoman Emily Yarborough emphasizes that the network still doesn't expect winners to actually live
in the Dream Home.
(me here - I say then why not do a friggin home someone can actually LIVE IN?!, hell the reason most of us enter is because we WANT to live in a place like they build!)

That's a notion seconded by Kathi Nakao, the 2004 winner.

recieved 6,000 inquiries the day it was announced as a Dream Home site; meanwhile, St. Mary's Ga., is still getting HGTV-driven inquiries two years after its Dream Home was given away.
Nakao's own story offers an illustration of how the contest hits the sweet spot for the network, its audience and its sponsors. In 2003, she happened
to turn on HGTV and "catch a program showing some furniture."

So, there you have it. While the winner of this year's house is not
expected to live in it, it doesn't stop us all from dreaming.

Uncanny Resemblances

One of my favortite sites to check out every other day
is www.imdb.com . I really like finding out what movies
my favorite stars were working on.
One interesting thing I found is that rarely
some stars remarkably resemble each other.
It's almost eerie. We all know the
Maureen McCormick/Christine Taylor saga.
They both played Marcia Brady, McCormick in the 70s
and Taylor in the 90s.
There is another resemblance I noticed and all you have to do,
is go to IMDB.com to look it up yourself.
They are Cate Blanchett and Romola Garai.
If you have never heard of these two ladies,
you are seriously movie deprived.
Cate of course starred in Lord of the Rings as Galadriel,
and Veronica Guerin ( i loved both of these movies),
and Romola starred in the movie Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.
I watched that because I am a dirty dancing fan.
I will leave that at that, but Romola was a good actress in that movie, even if the movie wasn't that great.
I mean there are quite a few "doppleganger" actors and actresses if you know where to look. Just look at the pictures I have posted.

The new year begins..

We are barely into the new year and already for the past 10 days, the news has brought constant stories of misery and death. I get my news from Nashville TN,
2, 4, and 5, and Fox, and my area called the clarksville/hopkinsville area.
In nashville, no less than 7 bodies have been found already, with even a murder/suicide, robberies, people getting shot. IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN TWO WEEKS!! I guess things are starting very early this year. I mean people couldn't take time off?? It is getting ridiculous. I live an hour away from Nashville, so nashville news isn't really affecting me. However, it just keeps driving home my point, PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS. Cops being arrested for selling drugs to undercover FBI, a crimestoppers worker being charged with child rape allegations. I MEAN GOD, GET SOME FREAKING COMMON SENSE!
I plan to post all the idiot things I find this year.. and if the first 10 days of this year are any indication, there will not be a lack of material for me to comment on. Bring it on 2006. Let's see how stupid people can get.

The Holidays Descend Upon Us

As the time draws closer to Christmas, I have felt what most of us feel at this time of year. The stress, the anxiety, the depression that settles in and weighs upon the mind. The time of family coming and going, and the little ones giggling with delight. Tomorrow will be Christmas Day. A time of goodwill to men, sharing, and caring. Remember the reason for the season.
It's all so cliche, yet true. As my son develops the 'gimmes' , I try to talk to him about why we give gifts, that it represents the giving of gifts by the wisemen to the newborn Jesus. I try to tell him the story of that night, of sacrifice, and love.
I won't know if I succeed at this, instilling in my son the values I try myself to show, until he has grown up into a man. I can only remember how he is right now. This will probably be my last post this year until 2006. I need time to soak it all in, and then let it all out. As well all do our own ritual end of year practices. So from my family to yours, MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, and HAPPY NEW YEAR. As I have lost people I loved last year and this year, please try to tell your loved ones how much they truly mean to you.
You never know when they last time you see them and talk to them will be, until it is too late. GOD BLESS.

ADVENT CHILDREN

Advent Children is a movie placed 2 years after the end of
the Final Fantasy 7 Game.
We have all the familiar characters. Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, Barret,
Marlene and more. Sephiroth even reappears in the movie.
The visual is so stunning.
It is what we all imagined a Final Fantasy movie
SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
Not that FF: Spirits Within wasn't imaginative in its own right,
but it was a HUGE dissappointment.
We finally get our prayers answered with ADVENT CHILDREN..
long awaited movie of ANY Final Fantasy fan.

Ok.. So I am trying this to see if it works where I can host videos or songs
and then you (if anyone actually reads my blog) can just click a simple link
to download it , instead of me pasting a really long http address.
If so I this can be the start of me sharing interesting things I find around
the net , and then I will be able to share them.
The first is this awesome anime vid set to the song
'My December' by Linkin Park. It shows some scenes from
Advent Children (the new FF7 movie) and some FF7 game scenes.
I am a HUGE HUGE FINAL FANTASY SERIES BUFF!!!.

Birthdays and Holidays

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone.. My son turned 5 on Nov. 22.
Time marches on, and the shopping season esp.(Black Friday) begins.
Soon the time will come for those to hustle and bustle about... buying material things for family you either soo too much of or not enough. My view is always a little bleak around the holdidays. I am getting older. My son is 5! Where does the time go? I start thinking about the past year, who I've lost. Not only did I lose my aunt angela last year, (in feb) , I lost her husband and my once best friend (both in feb). My friend was 26. On top of that, my grandma having strokes , not having a place to live and moving in with us in a very cramped apt.
She is moving into some senior apartments soon. She insists she has to be on her own.. alone. Even tho I would love my bedroom back, I love my grandma even tho she does drive me nuts and treats me like I'm 5, I worry about how she will really be able to deal with it. So yea, the past couple years of birthdays and holidays haven't been so great. However thats when I keep reminding myself how bad others have it. No matter what I have been through, others have gone through it too and worse. I have a home.. some do not. I have a compter, tv, some do not. I may not always get what I want, but then others NEVER get what they want. As crappy as my life is sometimes, I try to cherish it. I beg God to give me strength. I have to do this each day. Other wise, I start to fall into self'-pity again. I don't know how things will be the next year or in 2 or in 5 or so on. I do know it won't always be like this. It can't, otherwise.. I don't even want to think about that. I have my son. I adore and cherish the little moments because in the end, that is all we have and how we affect our children.
So bring on the Birthdays and Holidays. We won't have them for very long.

Harry Potter : Goblet of Fire - Movie 4

So I got to see the new Harry Potter Film. This one is certainly much different in tone than the first three. Alot more going on I am sure it was hard to get this book into one smooth screenplay. With that said, I did like the movie, it was very visually appealing. However as an avid reader of the books, it did leave something to be desired. It didn't feel as smooth to me as the first 3 were. It just felt like going from this big point in the book to this point to this point, trying to pack only the major things in. I am seriously concerned for how they will treat the contest for the final three installments, as book 5 and 6 are rather large. Personally, I say treat the last three like Peter Jackson did for LOTR.
The public has proven that we will sit 3 hours for a good movie about books we love. With Harry growing up, and danger becoming ever more persistant, 2 and a half hours simply will not do the next three books justice. Especially when everything finally comes to ahead and unfolds and all ends are neatly wrapped up, if JKR sees fit to do so. HP : GOF was ok . It wasn't the big huge phenom I thought it was going to be. It is still a great movie, but I certainly hope like Harry and each new DADA teacher.. I hope the new director on the next one will do a better job.

All Things Harry Potter

HARRY POTTER!! Ok yeah, I am a Harry Potter fan. I own all 6 books and
I have the first three movies on DVD. I am also getting ready to watch the fourth movie installment - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I have read every book within 2 days, except for the last one which I bought at midnight and read in one day and a half. What can I say, I love the series. It brings me to this magical world just like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings did. Just like The Chronicles of Narnia did. (which I am also looking forward to seeing this year) I sit here at 4:30 am finishing the last chapters of Goblet of Fire again, just so I have it fresh in my mind when I see the film this saturday. No, I wont be seeing it tomorrow when it comes out, as mush I wished I could. Luckily, and amazingly my mom won tickets for for to see HP : GOF from our local radio station Q108 - TY GRETCHEN CORDY(from survivor 1)- dang my mom seems to win alot from them :). Though I cant complain, I won a couple things from em like 20 dollar certificates and 50 in cash. So, thanks to my mom's luck
I do not have to pay to see Harry Potter. We will get to go see it in
Clarksville, TN which is only about 25-30 min from us ... depends on how fast ya drive- but really this year the film is rated PG-13, which means no more whiny 5 or 6 or 7 yr olds running up and down the isles screaming about Harry.
If you take a kid that young to this.. I feel sorry for you. The books are getting much much darker.. as will the films.. I mean come one MURDER in Cold Blood.. is that a kiddie topic?? I think not! Thanks to who she killed in book 6 ( I am still very pissed at that and will never forgive JK Rowling for it)
He didn't have to die - although she would argue yes he did. Guess I have to wait till book 7 to find out all the reasons.. anyway I ramble.. I am really looking forward to GOF. It has already pre-sold tickets 3 times the amount of POA.
It truly will be the BEST Potter yet.. till the next one of course!!

Jonathan Brandis.. Gone But Not Forgotten.

I am here at my computer at 4 o'clock in the morning and I have been crying again. I have been pouring over articles and pictures of the late actor JB. Nov 12, 2003 was the date Jonathan Gregory Brandis died. He was 27.
This year I turned 27. It makes me think.
Yesterday marked the 2 year anniversary of his death.
We never know why people who commit suicide decide to take their life. We just know it hurts those that are left behind. There are so many articles about why he did what he did, but it doesn't make it any easier. He was one of my favorite childhood actors growing up, among Wil Wheaton, Devon Sawa, and Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.
One article I read mentioned Wil Wheaton talking about him :

Former child actor Wil Wheaton, who co-starred with River Phoenix in the cult classic film, "Stand By Me," and had an early career much like Brandis', even to the point that, like Brandis, he had a role on a sci-fi TV series, wrote of his pain at the news of Brandis' suicide on his internet Weblog last week. "I know how hard it is to make the transition from child to adult actor. I know how merciless Hollywood is. I know the pain, frustration and depression that he must have felt. I know it intimately. The thing is, if I'd turned right instead of left, if I'd taken the elevator instead of the stairs, if I'd chosen differently when faced with one of those 1 or 0 decisions, that could be me you're reading about today," Wheaton wrote. Almost 100 written responses from Wheaton fans were also posted on the Weblog in response to Wheaton's remarks. "I am sadder about it than I expected. The worst is to think in how much pain he must have been to make a choice like that, and that he was alone with it," one wrote.

The Music Genome Project.

I checked out this great site about music called Pandora, created by the Music Genome Project. This is pretty similar to other radio casts out there where you pick a song or artists, then they search and find other similar songs/artists that are comparable to the first song/artist that you chose. I typed in Numb (for Linkin Park) and it gave me a selection to make sure that is the song I wanted and it started playing other similar styles of music. I'm thinking yea this is cool.
It really is very cool. I am having fun compiling a list of new songs and artits to burn onto a cd that I may never have otherwise heard. There are all kinds of pain out there. Emotional. Physical.
I think however we get over physical pain much easier than the emotional.
That's the kind that stays with you forever. It never completely goes away.

I will mix it up with a different video each week. If there is a vid you wanna see let me know. I like to pick songs that speak to me. Like Linkin Park's Numb. Evanesence's Bring me to life. Alanis Morrisette's you oughta know. Songs that speak to my soul. I know I've had my share of pain in life. I'm sure everyone has.
But the great thing about these songs is they CAN make you feel better.
Music is so important to me in my life. Whenever I have had a painful day, I find the song du jour that becomes my personal anthem. We all have them.
Music soothes our pains. Music soothes our souls.

The FAT war rages on.

I was reading an interesting article today about the 'politics' of being fat.
Interesting. It seems there is a new .. well maybe not so new movement of groups pushing anti-fat bigotry. Ok , this could be good and this could be bad.
The article talks about how dieting actually makes some people fatter and totes on the billion dollar industry. It also discusses how alot of people make no excuse for their size and are perfectly happy being big, as well as saying how larger people are discriminated against and that alot of big people are that way due to genetics and other reasons, so it's not really their fault. Well , I agree to this only somewhat. I do come from genes that give me the predispostion to be big. That is only a small part of it. I didn't start getting big till after I hit 12 when a major life trauma affected me (and no I can't discuss that it's too painful). The reasons I attribute to being my size are part genes, and part over eating and not enough activity, which pretty much does it. When I had my trauma not only at 12 but I had one years earlier at 4 (let's just say it involved male members of my family and you may get the idea), I started to get the idea in my warped head, if I am bigger I'll be unattractive and maybe they will leave me alone. So now years later.. I am big. However being my size, hasn't stopped me from having my son, or boyfriends, or a sex life. I've dated very attractive guys and bigger guys. I personally think it is all about choice and responsibility.
Should big people be sneered out, be biased against, be made fun of, get sub-standard care in medicine? No. Of course not. It is one of the last forms of bigotry, but as the article states usually minorities are discriminated against.
What happens when the minority becomes the majority? One-third of all adult americans are overweight or obese.
A so-called new study states that in the course of a lifetime,
9 out of 10 men and 7 out of 10 women are going to become overweight.
This is shocking to some, but not to others, especially the way our culture is heading. So like I said, it is all about choice and responsibility. If you are happy with your size and you are quite healthy then by all means, be what makes you happy. Do not change for anyone other than yourself. If you have had trauma in your life , like I have, and you ended up big and are not happy with it, then do something about it that makes you happy. My size didn't come to me over night. It came over the last 15 years. I am still trying to lose what I gained during my pregnancy. It's not easy, but I do what I can. Losing the weight will not be easy either but it is my choice to try and lose my weight and I will do it in my own way, in my own time. So anyone who doesn't look beyond my weight to know me , isn't worth knowing for me.

WWdN # 4

Well, I had finally made it to a WWdN tour. I was pretty excited and had been slowly climbing with a few good hands yo-yoing a bit.. till I reached 6 k in chips.
Then one hand took me down to 3 and then finally Went in big with A8 and there was an A23 in flop. However I was called and lo and behold the other player had AK.. and I was knocked out at 53. Stupid Stupid. Well, that was probably my first and last WWdN tour. Unless I have a lot more money to spend again and that probably wont be for some time. It was a good experience and I KNOW I could've gone much further if I didn't play so loose. I had to go cry. I really did. Live and Learn. It was a good experience but I will be sticking to the free play for a long time.

Sunday Football!!!

This weekend I will be headed to Nashville Tennessee to watch the Tennessee Titans play the Oakland Raiders!! W00T!!
Is it wrong I will be cheering for the Raiders while sitting on the Titans side? :P
My mom had won the grand prize from a local contest here being held by the car dealership Pennyrile Ford. (and all she wanted was the 100 dollar wal-mart gift card). We get to stay in the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville.
We will be sitting in club level seats section 231 in the Titans Coliseum. It will be my very first live pro football game ever.. and probably my last. I can't justify spending 150 dollars or more on a single football ticket. Just me I guess. It will be a great experience, one I won't easily forget. Just one of those things I reccomend you do at least once in your life :) Go see a sport live :)

I just couldn't catch a break... I'd go up , and down.. then back up.. then I kept losing to a player named dead-money93.. who when I had Kings and tens took me out with his pocket Aces for Aces and tens.
So ended my very very brief journey into this blogger tour.
**cries** Oh , well.. at least I got hit on and got an email addy :)
I do hope they do this again so I can come back with a vengeance :)

World Poker Tour's Ladies Night III

Ok , so last night I was watching isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier, (from team pokerstars.com) and actress Jennifer Tilly on the travel channel play in the WPT's Ladies Night 3. Wow, what a game! These 2 ladies, and the other 4 ladies they played with are some of the finest players in poker. Ms Tilly is the 2005 WSOP Ladies Champion.They aired 2004's Ladies Night 2 just before this game, in which Ms. Mercier took home the grand prize. So this year she was playing as defending champ this time around. Sadly she just couldn't catch a card and ended up going out in 5th place just after "London" Gallagher, an amateur-qualifier and poker mom who bested 565 players to win her seat. 4th place went to Ms. Cecillia Reyes Mortensen. 3rd went to veteran Ms. Marsha Waggoner. At one point, Jennifer was the short stacked being sucked out against Mrs. Grinder's AK to Tilly's A6. She made a huge comeback though, bluffing hand after hand, taking out one player then another, then going heads up with Lily "Mrs. Grinder" Elviro. Now down to heads-up, Lily vs. Tilly, the two aggressive gamblers took turns pushing each other around with all-in bets. Finally, Ms. Tilly found J7 of clubs, she raised $200,000, and Mrs. Grinder, with T7spades, picked the wrong time to push back, going all-in over the top for just $120,000 moreThe flop came Qs-5h-2h, and then a Jh on the turn gave her the tournament title, rendering the river a meaningless formality. Jennifer Tilly, Hollywood actress-cum-poker champion, added a new title to her suddenly burgeoning list, as Queen of WPT’s Ladies Night 3.
It was truly a terrific game to watch. I just wish I could be like these ladies someday. Perhaps when my son is grown up and in college, I will move to vegas like I dream of doing and just go play poker :)

5:35 PM - I'm all-in UTG with pocket eights. One caller, plus CJ who also pushes. I hope I'm in for a race here. Oh. No I'm not. CJ called me with KK. Can I crack Kings? No, there's a King on the flop. I go home in 54th. What a disappointing finish. I really wish I hadn't donked off those chips like a dipshit, but I had a LOT of fun, and now there's only one "wil" avatar at the table.

We had a lot of fun watching you Wil! I for one cannot wait till I am actually playing with teh WILS :)

Favorite Wil Wheaton Moment

Well, I was just thinking and I am curious about when people who have seen Wil (normally I'd be calling him Mr. Wheaton, but Wil seems to not mind if you use his first name ) , the best moment they liked in his acting. this doesn't necessarily have to be a moment in Tv and Film, if you have had a personal experience, tell it!

My Favorite Wil Wheaton Moment :
Though he wasnt in the movie long, it was in the first part of Toy Soldiers, when Wil just grabs the terrorist's gun and just runs to the steps and gets blasted full of holes. (don't read anything into it please lol) But that was a great moment. He was so gung-ho! A perfect death scene. I just bawled.

Ok. So I have been reading alot of Wil Wheatons blog WWdN (which is currently down but he has posted a temp blog here : http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/), and it is just one of the best blogs on the 'net to me. Wil has many interests that are similar to mine, and he is an avid poker player that has quickly risen in the ranks with the top elite of poker gaming. While reading his blog, he mentions he can be found on pokerstars.com, well since I had been playing poker online already on jetsetpoker.com and absolutepoker.com (absolute is one of the best sites IMO)
I decided to check out pokerstars. I also have to admit, I am a Wil Wheaton fan
ever since Stand by me and other tv things I had seen him in and of course the deal on ST: TNG. It's not his former tv star status that draws people to his site,
it's his intellegence, and his charisma that enchants his readers.
We love hearing him talk about poker, and anything else that tickles his fancy.
I mean come on, how many former stars (in my eyes Wil always will be a star)
actually run their own blog site, and responds to its readers? REALLY???

I could go on and on about how great Wil is and how awesome his blog site is,
but all who read his site know that already. what was my point again?
Oh yea, well I have been playing on pokerstars now for awhile, and it is quickly becoming my fave place to play. I am hardly on those other sites anymore.. tho I still go to absolutepoker.com from time to time, because i like the set up.
But pokerstars is alot of fun, and its a chance to play with someone I had a crush on growing up who turned out to be one hell of a guy. Most of us still get star struck when we have a chance to even speak or see in person an icon we idolized in our youth, and I am trying to not let that get to me, because you don't want to come off as some stark-raving lunatic, or some creepy person.
Like OMG OMG OMG WIL !!!! lol. No, just being yourself, calm and just getting the opporotunity to say hi is blessing enough.
I am one of those people who am happy worshipping from afar. Yes I said worshipping lol. I enjoy the tv shows, I enjoy the movies, and that's as far as I am happy to go to seeing my favorite actors and actresses.
I have met several famous people and each one has been a pleasureable experience, from Vicki Lawrence, to Trace Adkins, to Aaron Neville to Kris Kristofferson. Its just nice going up shaking a hand, saying Hi, and getting a pic, autograph and hug. I am happy with that, or even if that never happens I will just enjoy seeing them on tv. What really gets me mad are the stalkerazzi.
I don't know how many americans think this way, but I do believe stars deserve their privacy. I do not want to know about their personal lives ( for the most part) . Ok I do wanna know who is dating whom, who married whom and things like that.. but it gets ridiculous. I don't want to see a pregnant Miss Federline, I don't wanna see a topless Diaz. I don't wanna see bony chicks,
or someone puking. To me, this ruins the allure of what these people do.
We pay them to entertain us. Let's enjoy their work and leave it at that.
Ok , I am rambling again, and when I start doing that it's time to take a break
but this is why my blog is called what it is called. I like to ramble and just say what pops into my head. I may not always be clear to others, but for me it makes total sense to myself, and it serves its purpose for me. this blog is for myself. others are free to read it even critique it, i don't care. ah.. well there i go again. but for now, I am very excited at getting to say hi to one of my childhood icons that i grew up with. it is something i won't forget.
so when I get the chance to buy into one of wil's poker tours, it will be a blast
(for me at least) ;) and again.. harsher penalties should be imposed on certain members of the paparazzi for certain things. sometimes they just go too damn far.

First Journal Entry

OK.. so I finally broke down and decided to have my own me page..
I will be writing when I can things that pop into my head,
things I think about, hear about, and dream about... in my little sad sad world.
Usually my whole past would make anyone feel much better about their life.
When i hear about people committing suicide.. I always go "Gee, wish i could've told them about my life! if anyone has a reason to kill themselves, it certainly is me."
Really!.. Well i don't wanna go on a major rant my first entry.....or maybe I will..
M bio is i'm a single mother of 1 beautiful son. Christoper Ryan.
I named him after a friend of mine that died in 1994, but more on that later.
My mom always thought my life would make an excellent self help book so people could see how NOT to behave. She might have an idea there.
But, this little blog. will have to suffice for now, anyway. It's not like anyone is actually
going to be interested in reading this. :P
I was born in Kentucky. Sept. 17 1978, but we were living in Tennessee at the time..
my dad actually did not want a kid of his being born in TN.
I don't know why.. so don't ask. He was a paranoid schizo, and i wonder where i get it from. Thanks mom.. any way more on that later.
The tales of my father alone are .. well, all in due time.
Must keep the suspense some how. Grew up in ky, ran around with a not so good crowd.
Hated school.. can't wait to start those tales.. did some college , got pregnant in 2000 and
here I am 5 yrs later starting this blog/journal mostly .. for my own sanity since I have no one else in my life to talk to.. really , I'm not making it up.
Friends have died.. family ...well... any way.. this just might be the therapy I need.
It certainly is cheap to write your own thoughts.
Perhaps i will find like -minded folks who can give support to each other say - ya i've been there.. and oh dang i thought I had it bad., and plan things together.
Who knows? guess I did go on a mini rant.

Believe me.. I have ALOT to talk about and it all started when iIwas 4 years old.
It pretty much sucks that your life starts going down hill after 4 doesn't it.
